San Lorenzo Dorsino

Traditional stone and timber farmhouses, village fountains, and vegetable gardens. Here in San Lorenzo Dorsino, we preserve the architecture of the past because it is the very footprint of our history. But the true soul of this place is our community.

We are people deeply in love with this land. We have chosen to stay and build our lives here, bringing our passions to life. We are woodworkers, coppersmiths, and felt makers. We are the bakers, the chefs, and the farmers you will cross paths with along the streets of San Lorenzo in Banale, Dorsino, Tavodo, and Andogno.

When you stop by our stores and eat in our restaurants, you’ll support our economy as well as becoming part of the stories of the people who live here.

Stories like that of the ciuìga, a pork and turnip sausage invented by the village butcher at the end of the 19th century. A peasant food which turned into a bastion of slow food. We celebrate it in November every year at the Ciuìga festival.
