Lake Molveno

You don’t need us to tell you it’s a beautiful lake – you already know that. What you maybe don’t know is what the lake does for us, and how we protect it and enhance it.

It’s an Alpine lake fed by meltwater from the Dolomites and the Paganella. The lake water is also used for hydroelectric power. In winter, we use it to cover the ski slopes with snow; in summer, we dive into its refreshing waters and teach our children how to steer a boat.

The Fishing Association monitors and preserves the Arctic char and Lake Trout species. It organises guided visits to raise awareness about them at the Ichthyology Centre.

We’re proud of our shore. Our maintenance team works day and night to mow the grass around it, fertilise it with organic products, and keep it clean.

You too can protect our area and environment by arriving on foot, bike, or public transport. If you come by car during summer, book the car park. Let us all be more organised – both you and us.
